Among our 30 spices, those with special warming properties include black pepper, turmeric, clove, red chili, Sichuan pepper, and ginger.
FSC uses five types of pepper: black pepper, white pepper, grains of paradise, Timut pepper, and long pepper. These spices promote circulation and boost metabolism. In particular, capsaicin in pepper and red chili excels at raising body temperature. Turmeric is renowned for its anti-inflammatory properties, supporting inner health.
Ginger (shoga) is widely known for its warming effect. We blend both fresh ginger and ginger powder made from dried, ground ginger. Interestingly, the latter—ginger powder—has a stronger warming effect!
